We film all of our spoken word showcases and poetry slams and publish the videos on our YouTube channel, where we’ve curated the most comprehensive archive of Scottish spoken word poetry online. Whenever possible we provide accurate closed-captioning to make these videos as accessible as possible.

We also offer our high-quality filming and editing services to organisations and individuals seeking to record their live events. We’ve digitally produced major events including StAnza: Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, Winchester Poetry Festival, the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, and Bad Betty Press. We also regularly film individual and one-off events, including Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows. Our services range from basic single-camera event recording and editing to multi-cam filming and editing, closed-captioning provision, trailer creation, BSL integration, and more.

I Am Loud is at the cutting edge of digital poetry content creation; we strive to innovate when creating cinepoems, graphic elements, poetry resources, and more.

In 2021-22, our Return to Form project explored different styles of poetry, commissioning new cinepoems and providing free, easy-to-digest lessons suitable for people at any level of education or stage of their writing journey. The project uprooted traditional artistic practices and outdated notions of originality and instead created a digital anthology of contemporary talent to inspire reluctant writers or shy students to try something new. We also create bespoke digital content for organisations, including poetry films and brand campaigns. In 2022, we were commissioned by Glenfiddich to create a short poetry film for their annual Burns celebrations. “To Us” celebrates the traditions and history of Scotland while telling a new story.

I Am Loud produces several in-house podcasts including The Loudcast, Happy Hour, and our annual National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) series.

We also produce podcasts for cultural organisations. In 2019-20, we worked with TRACS, the Scottish Storytelling Forum, the Gaelic Books Council, and Bòrd na Gàidhlig to produce the Gaelic-language storytelling podcast “Sgeul is Seanchas.” In 2022 we were commissioned by Edinburgh City of Literature and Historic Environment Scotland to research, write, and produce a series of podcasts focused on five forgotten female writers from Edinburgh’s history.
